A couple of days ago I spotted Richard Fox’s Beer and Food book going cheap so decided to order it and see what it was like. I’ve only had a quick flick through so there will be  a proper review of it soon, but in the meantime I decided to make his beer mashed potatoes [...]

A few weeks ago I received something a little bit different in the post, these came in the shape of Beer Savers, Beer Savers are little silicone bottle caps that are designed to fit onto beer bottles keeping your beer fresh and fizzy. I’ve seen all sorts of stoppers and caps before but never anything like these, [...]

Beery T-shirts

Posted on September 13, 2010 by andyMogg in Beer Gifts & Gadgets, Beer Stuff 4 Comments

Glyn over at the Rake was taking the mickey out of the T-shirt that I wore for GBBF, not only was it bright green but it had the slogan “My idea of a balanced diet….a beer in each hand”. I thought it was quite funny and would make me easy to spot at GBBF. Like [...]

Beer Tickers : Beyond the Ale (Film review)

Posted on July 6, 2010 by andyMogg in Beer Gifts & Gadgets, Beer Reviews, Beer Stuff No Comments

I’d been following news about the beer tickers film on twitter for a while and it seemed to be getting a bit of a following, so just before Christmas I decided to buy a copy on DVD, I watched it not long after and started writing this post, when doing a bit of house keeping [...]

All Beer Experience

Posted on June 14, 2010 by andyMogg in Beer Gifts & Gadgets, Beer Reviews, Beer Stuff 3 Comments

I first met Alex from All Beer at the Twissup in Sheffield, where he kindly organised for us to visit a few of the breweries in Sheffield. Since then Alex and All Beer seem to have gone from strength to strength. I’ve been spotting the All Beer Experience Kits all over the place including at [...]

Beer blogger extraordinaire and Beer Ritz Leeds head honcho Zak Avery, famed for his use of an over sized wine glass,  recently launched a book entitled 500 beers,  having met Zak a couple of times now and watching all his videos on Youtube, I decided it would be rude not to buy a copy. As [...]

Marquee hire

Beer has been one of the oldest drinks we know and comes with so many different tastes and types unlike any other beverage, you can drink a beer with your friends or alone. When you organise a party it is important that you choose the right beers to be served for your guests, as it can set a mood but sometimes when you can go all out you can serve a variety of beers in kegs but it might be handy to have a marquee. There are several companies that specialize in Marquee hire, this sets the mood and everyone can enjoy their glass of beer in a great atmosphere. Bottoms up!
