Posted on January 14, 2013 by andyMogg in Food and Recipes 2 Comments
Carbonnade flamenade

I’ve made this a couple of times now and served it with both Stoemp and skinny fries (the photo is of the skinny fries and salad version), it’s best done in the slow cooker but if you don’t have one you can do it one the stove or in the oven. The stoemp can be [...]

Magic Rock Human Cannonball

It seems wrong that I’ve not written about Magic Rock beers on here before, especially as I’ve supped an awful lot of them from bottle, cask and even keg. So I thought it was about time I broke the duck, jumped on the bandwagon and wrote a little bit about them. Based in Huddersfield, Magic [...]

Cooking with Beer: Beer and Bacon Risotto

Posted on May 13, 2011 by andyMogg in Food and Recipes 6 Comments

I love risotto, as a result we usually have it once a week, Risotto is so flexible, it’s a great way of cooking up a tasty meal with bits of left overs or when you don’t have much in the cupboard, on the other hand you can make it really luxurious by chucking in loads [...]

Marquee hire

Beer has been one of the oldest drinks we know and comes with so many different tastes and types unlike any other beverage, you can drink a beer with your friends or alone. When you organise a party it is important that you choose the right beers to be served for your guests, as it can set a mood but sometimes when you can go all out you can serve a variety of beers in kegs but it might be handy to have a marquee. There are several companies that specialize in Marquee hire, this sets the mood and everyone can enjoy their glass of beer in a great atmosphere. Bottoms up!
