Great British Beer Festival 2011 – Roll Call

With the Great British Beer Festival beer list now available on the GBBF website and the festival it’s self only a week away. I thought I do a quick roll call to see who was going and if there were any beers that I should make sure I don’t miss.

I’ve already got my eye on a few beers, both bottled and cask including a couple with chilli in that just have to be tried, in the hope  of one day finding something that beats the Crown Ring of Fire beer

I’ll be there on Tuesday and then hopefully out for a few pints in London on Wednesday if anyone fancies joining me..

HardknottDave confirmed he has a ticket for me. I’ll be there Tuesday, very excited about it too. Looking forward to the Stone Smoked Porter with Chipotle, never had that before.

I’ll be there! Tuesday all day and Thursday evening.

I need to make a list of everything I want to try. Trouble is that these lists end up being stupidly long! I’ll try and get down 10 must trys to focus my mind (or I’ll just read every single beer in the entire place and not know what to order!) plus the bottles I want to pick up. From there I’ll just be wandering around and scooping freely!

I definitely want some of the Czech beers and lagers this year. There’s a few monster hoppy beers I want from the US bar. There’s a lot of US beers/breweries that I’ve never heard of either, which is really interesting – I need some guidance of what to look for!

    See you there Moggy!

I’ll be there with a big fat ginger beard in my bag…

My hitlist starts and ends with Ballast Point. And Green Flash. And draft Cantillon Lou Pepe.

Actually, I don’t give a monkey’s chuff about the beer. Just give me pork scratchings.

Nice one Alex, hopefully see you there.

Dredge – you think we will be the last in there again?

Steve those beers were on my list too especially the Acer as i’ve not tried that and it sound delicious!

Scoop – Glad to hear it! Can’t wait for Lou Pepe on draft or the pork scratchings.

I’ll be there Tuesday after a brief visit to Byron Burger and before a lengthy visit to Craft in the evening. Will probably be propping up the BSF bar for the most part :)
