This week Nick the MD from Otley Brewing Company has very kindly filled in our Meet The Brewer feature, They were also kind enough to send me a couple of bottles of their ales so watch out for the reviews soon.

What is your brewery capacity?
60 Barrels

We offer beers that are fresh light on the palate and full of flavours and aromas that keep you coming back for more.

Our packaging is modern, young and appealing to new real ale drinking audience.

How long have you been brewing?
5 Years

How did you get into brewing?
We ran pubs before we began brewing and always championed real ales. It seemed a natural progression.

In the hands of skilled brewers and small free thinking breweries.

What is your proudest moment in brewing?

Winning our first gold medal for one of our beers.

Not starting earlier

What is your brewing ambition?

To have Otley beers talked about and drunk in pubs around the land.

What was the last beer you drank?

Otley Croeso

What is your favourite hop?

North American Colombus

Do you have a brewing hero/inspiration?

Yes but I am not telling as it will make their head swell

Which beer do you wish you had brewed?

The old Burton Union Bass

Favourite hobby outside of brewing?

Photography

If you could have one superpower what would it be?

A belly that didn’t swell up no matter how much beer I drank.  (Note I like this one, I could do with it too)

Anything else you want to tell us?

The girl working in the corner shop has a crush on our head brewer.

    Driving over the Bwlch in the mist searching out Cilfynydd Albion
    Industrial site Unit 35 meeting with staff visit to the BEER BOX

    Welsh brews display OTLEY , BRECONSHIRE , NEATH ! BRAGDY’R GOGARTH etc

    Excellent O brews Particularly O1 OGARDEN and O8(take it slowly)

    ONLY concern driving through mist over BWLCH then Treherbert Treorci
    Treleaw Porth Ponypridd !!!!

    POSTAGE prohibitive SO……
