Adnams Ghost Ship in a Can

I’ve tried Adnams Ghost Ship on a few different occasions and really enjoyed but never thought it was an outstanding beer, that was until I cracked open the canned version. The first thing that hit me was the aroma, It smelled super fresh and packed full of hops, load of pithy lime and lemon, it [...]

Posted on December 1, 2010 by andyMogg in Adnams, Beer Reviews 3 Comments

A few months ago Adnams released a Handcrafted Ales selection case, it contained 6 bottles, 6 different styles from around the world, well that was the plan but they were out of one of the beers so It was replaced by a second bottle of the American Style IPA, the case also included A Kolner, [...]

I was very kindly sent this from Adnams a few weeks ago and I’ve been meaning to type my notes up for a while now but not got round to it, until now. It’s grey and rainy outside and just the site of the picture as I was uploading it cheered me up, it brought [...]

Posted on April 24, 2010 by andyMogg in Adnams, Beer Reviews, Breweries & Pubs 2 Comments

I couple of weeks ago Fergus from Adnams sent me a couple of rather special bottles of beer. Until now i’ve not been able to talk about one of them so now the shackles are off I can spill the beans. The first of the two beers was Adnams Extra, this once award winning beer [...]

Tally Ho is a limited edition Barley wine style beer, brewed at Adnams since 1880. It’s traditionally a Christmas beer which is brewed in October in limited quantities. I was very kindly sent my bottle of Tally Ho by Sean at Adnams who offered to send everyone involved in Beer Swap a bottle to try. [...]

Adnams Innovation (6.7%)

Posted on November 25, 2009 by andyMogg in Adnams, Beer Reviews, Breweries & Pubs 7 Comments

I’d been trying to track this beer down for a while, but the problem was the only places I could find it were places that sold it in cases of 12 and as I wasn’t sure if I would like it I had always put off buying it. Then the very kind guys over at [...]

Adnams Gun Hill Bitter (4.0%)

Posted on August 23, 2009 by andyMogg in Adnams, Beer Reviews, Breweries & Pubs 2 Comments

There seems to be few new Adnams beers making it into the shops lately, and this is no bad thing as they are generally pretty excellent and tasty session beers. Again it comes in their new eco friendly brown bottle and a % of the profits of the beer go to support the prostate cancer [...]

Adnams lighthouse (3.4%)

Posted on August 19, 2009 by andyMogg in Adnams, Beer Reviews, Breweries & Pubs 6 Comments

I picked up a couple of Adnams Ales in Tesco a few weeks ago, one of which was Lighthouse, It’s quite a simple beer and uncomplicated beer, so this “review” is short and sweet. The bottle said it was developed from championship beers and was also a “charity” beer and that Adnams would donate 10p [...]

Marquee hire

Beer has been one of the oldest drinks we know and comes with so many different tastes and types unlike any other beverage, you can drink a beer with your friends or alone. When you organise a party it is important that you choose the right beers to be served for your guests, as it can set a mood but sometimes when you can go all out you can serve a variety of beers in kegs but it might be handy to have a marquee. There are several companies that specialize in Marquee hire, this sets the mood and everyone can enjoy their glass of beer in a great atmosphere. Bottoms up!
