Posted on November 29, 2011 by andyMogg in Twissup 5 Comments

I was going to write a huge post about what happened when Twissup hit Newcastle a couple of weeks ago, but to be honest, there’s been lots of great write-ups which you can read here, here, here, here , here and here (If I’ve missed your link stick it in the comments at the bottom) So [...]

For those of you who missed it the next Twissup is in Newcastle on the 12th  November 2011. I’ve tried to put together a bit of a plan with the help of Jeff, Mick from the Free Trade, Toonbeerchris and Andrew from Bacchus so here’s a rough outline of the day…things are bound to change [...]

The votes have been counted, re counted and double checked and I am please to announce that the next Twissup is in Newcastle on 12th November 2011. The voting for the host city was quite close with Newcastle 5 votes ahead of Edinburgh and then Norwich a little way behind. The 12th November romped home with 49% [...]

Posted on June 2, 2011 by andyMogg in Beer Stuff 6 Comments

A couple of saturday’s ago my self and @davelozman hopped on the train to Newcastle, to grab some lunch then hit a few pubs, well that was the plan anyway. We livened up the train journey by sharing a bottle of Raison d etre from Dog fish head and then a bottle of chaos theory [...]

Twissup did York

Posted on March 8, 2011 by andyMogg in Twissup 3 Comments

It already seems like ages ago since I hopped on the short train journey to York for the first Twissup of 2011. I arrived way too early so went for a quick wander around the lovely historic streets and had a look a the market in the square, only just resisting the urge to buy [...]

Twissup Does York: The Plan

Posted on February 15, 2011 by andyMogg in Twissup 7 Comments

With Twissup York fast approaching we’ve put together a rough plan for the day, a lot of this will depend on how people are feeling and how many turn up, some of the pubs won’t fit a huge number of people in so we may have to split up and rendezvous in a bigger pub [...]

Twissup February 2011 is in….

Posted on January 10, 2011 by andyMogg in Twissup 12 Comments

Voting has closed for the February Twissup and we’re going to… York! Despite a last minute surge from Brighton (taking the last five votes), York is where we’ll be going with 26 of the 69 votes (Brighton picked up 21 votes, Newcastle 15, Bristol 4 and Derby a surprisingly low 3). Mark and I will [...]

Marquee hire

Beer has been one of the oldest drinks we know and comes with so many different tastes and types unlike any other beverage, you can drink a beer with your friends or alone. When you organise a party it is important that you choose the right beers to be served for your guests, as it can set a mood but sometimes when you can go all out you can serve a variety of beers in kegs but it might be handy to have a marquee. There are several companies that specialize in Marquee hire, this sets the mood and everyone can enjoy their glass of beer in a great atmosphere. Bottoms up!
