Twissup Does York: The Plan

Posted on February 15, 2011 by andyMogg in Twissup 7 Comments

With Twissup York fast approaching we’ve put together a rough plan for the day, a lot of this will depend on how people are feeling and how many turn up, some of the pubs won’t fit a huge number of people in so we may have to split up and rendezvous in a bigger pub [...]

Twissup February 2011 is in….

Posted on January 10, 2011 by andyMogg in Twissup 12 Comments

Voting has closed for the February Twissup and we’re going to… York! Despite a last minute surge from Brighton (taking the last five votes), York is where we’ll be going with 26 of the 69 votes (Brighton picked up 21 votes, Newcastle 15, Bristol 4 and Derby a surprisingly low 3). Mark and I will [...]

Unsure what to do during the day on new year’s eve and with the other half at work myself and Dave managed to swing some cheap train tickets to York so I decided to dig out the map I made for 2009′s trip with Mark from Real Ale Reviews add a couple of new pubs [...]

Marquee hire

Beer has been one of the oldest drinks we know and comes with so many different tastes and types unlike any other beverage, you can drink a beer with your friends or alone. When you organise a party it is important that you choose the right beers to be served for your guests, as it can set a mood but sometimes when you can go all out you can serve a variety of beers in kegs but it might be handy to have a marquee. There are several companies that specialize in Marquee hire, this sets the mood and everyone can enjoy their glass of beer in a great atmosphere. Bottoms up!
