Me and my mates all started drinking Jaipur a few years ago at Wetherspoons in Sheffield, it’s become our favourite pre ice hockey tipple on a Saturday night.

Being a sad individual, from time to time I do a beer knock out competition with my wife making the draw and giving me 2 beers in different glasses so that I can tell her my favourite…..The winner goes through to the next round.

The last time I had the competition I started with 64 different bottled beers, it lasted about 4 months with Jaipur beating Fullers Golden Champion 4 – 0 in a best of 7 final……It really is that good.

I had a couple of jaipur’s over the weekend @ twissup in sheffield, they were great, also tried a couple of other thornbridge’s beers that id not had before – all excellent.

Had a pint of Jaipur in Chesterfield wetherspoons last night, bags and bags of flavour , told it is always on at the Rutland , Chesterfield.

Jaipur is “The Business”! I still have a mini-keg in the cool garage too! The guys and gals at Thornbridge Hall, (or now they are at Bakewell too) are really friendly and helpful. Trouble is that manay other beers pale into insignificance against Jaipur, which you cannot realistically call a session beer:)

I’ve had Jaipur from a gravity cask at the Altrincham beer fest and from a bottle at a Pete Brown talk for his Hops & Glory book and whilst the first was extremely impressive the second was a big step up. I can’t wait to try the stuff from a proper hand-pump.

I will agree with Andy on this one, its a top quality beer on draft, I haven’t tried the bottle version but if its anything like the draft It will taste delicious.

Great write up, it’s definitely made me want to try it!

They are based close to me in Derbyshire so I’m wondering if they do any brewery visits or onsite tasting!

However, I’ve also noticed that they have it on in my town, so I’m just off to grab a pint …
