Beer Swap Update

While many bloggers and beer folk were out supping ale with a certain doggy themed brewery who have announced their plans to allow fans to buy shares we had our own bit of excitement….

The test beer swap parcel has landed and in one piece too, the cheap delivery option cost £4 and was pretty successful so more on that once we iron out a few other details.

you can check out the photos of the parcel and it’s contents here

The beers i sent were:

Wylam Rocket –  A cracking ale from up near my spiritual home of Newcastle and the first beer i had at my first ever beer festival

Yorkshire brewing/Pinchinthorpe hall – Flying herbert – The closest brewery to me that bottles their ales, a rather lively organic ale.

Cropton Yorkshire Moors – From one of my favourite breweries, an ale brewed to celebrate the anniversary of the North Yorkshire Moors

Cropton Rudolphs’ Revenge – I’ve not had this one before but it’s a seasonal ale so thought it was worth a try.

Hopefully Mark will enjoy them and post about them soon.

In the meantime check out @beerswap on twitter and http://beerswap.posterous.com for the latest news. There will be a blog coming soon and the final bits of info so also keep an eye on Mark Dredge
